- A spectator selects a card from a deck, signs the face of it and returns it to the deck which is shuffled.
- The performer says he is so confident that he can find the card under impossible conditions that he will put money on it!.
- The wallet is opened and some money removed.

- The performer takes one card at random from the deck and places it in the wallet. "If your card is not in the wallet, the money is yours," claims the performer.
- The card is removed from the wallet and is proved to be an incorrect one.
